Former Big Brother Naija winner Mercy Eke has revealed that she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) because of peer pressure and the procedure's growing popularity at the time.
"I got a BBL because it was trending and there was a lot of peer pressure," Mercy said.
She explained that she deliberately avoided telling her mother about the surgery because she anticipated she would discourage her from going ahead with the procedure.
"I didn't tell my mum because I knew she would discourage me," she said.
Mercy also spoke candidly about the painful recovery process, revealing that the first few days after the surgery were particularly difficult.
"You can't sleep on your bum for 14 days, and you'll cry for the first three days from the pain... but look, it's soft now," she added.
Her revelation has since sparked conversations on social media, with many users debating the influence of beauty trends and peer pressure on cosmetic surgery, while others praised her for being open about her experience.
